SESSION ABSTRACTS: IBM Power i Current Status and Announcements. This will take a quick look at the current status of IBM Power i versions and the support plan for them. It will review the latest IBM announcements for IBM Power i including NVMe storage and what the expectations are for the near future. Power Systems Monitoring: The IBM i power platform is the workhorse for many of our customers. The big black box that keeps on going and going. It runs the core systems that affect the daily operations for so many companies. There is so much more then just monitoring the CPU, MEMORY and DISK of your IBM i. Yes, you can use 3rd party products to send alerts for certain events. Alerts do not tell the complete story. From a business perspective you need to know about backups, job statuses, job logs, job queues. Are you or your partners giving you that information now? Do you monitor hundreds of data points, store them for as long as you want and then present them to you in a format that makes sense to you as a business owner?
This is what we do for all our customers. Some basic tools may give you charts about CPU but can they give you the impacts of your CPU against backups and job logs at the same time across all systems with one view?
