Steve is a world renowned security subject matter expert and public speaker. As an Account Executive and Security Engineer at Service Express, Steve strives to find elegant, cost effective and practical solutions to problems. He is a perennial IBM Champion since 2011 and a long time volunteer and past board member with the COMMON Americas User Group. He has spent his entire 23-year professional career on the IBM i platform.


ABSTRACTS:

Session 1 (5:00 PM)

Malware Prevention and Remediation for IBM i -
    formerly “uh oh my IBM i has been breached”

Do you think remediating a malware attack is simply a restore? Think again. Between coordinating with federal authorities and ensuring your crime scene is not compromised, Steve will take you through the steps of ensuring your remediation is seamless. Moreover, Steve will work to minimize your risk of ever having a breach.

Session 2 (7:00 PM)

Rapid Fire Admin

This overflowing session is designed to help ensure every IBM i administrator and operator has at least a backpack full of valuable tips for when they return home. From command line to shell to IBM Navigator for i, Steve will sprint through these tips at a pace of at least two tips per minute, for at least 150 tips!

This session is updated every quarter with new and relevant information so that you don't miss good foundational tips but are keeping up with what updates IBM is releasing on a regular basis.
