ABSTRACTS:

5:00 PM - IBM Navigator for i -  A Live Demo

The IBM Navigator has been around for a very long time.... and the version that most think about, well let's say it's not the best.  Good news, there is a brand new version of IBM Navigator for i, built on the latest Web technologies, and leveraging IBM i Services and SQL as the backbone for exchanging data. This session will introduce this new interface and spend the majority of the time showing how this interface works.  We will explore areas of interest by you, the attendees.  Come with your questions and areas you want to see!

7:00 PM - Application Development - Merlin
Developing applications in a modern way continues to be an area that many companies are starting to explore. Leveraging the latest in source control, using an IDE that makes sense to modern developers, automating the process of "build and deploy". These are all topics that are of interested for many. The IBM i team has recently delivered a brand new container-based product targeted specifically around the needs of our Application Development community – Merlin.   We will talk about why this is a key solution and how this product is already getting the conversation around modern development going; what's included, along with a brief demo or so along the way.
